She has expanded her skills through personal exploration and experimentation both in wearable art and in theatre costumes.

Her work as elected for inclusion in he Australian Fashion Framework Spectacular World Tour in 1993. Using the image of the goddess, Renee states 'wearable art allows us to transport our everyday persona to another world, to escape our reality and discover a little magic and fantasy in our selves.

Hopefully, the people who experience my work will be ble to get in touch with their own inner magic as a reaction to what I have done.

I consider what I do as an art form, instead of painting a picture for the wall; I use the body and adornment to breathe life into my story.’’
