Sonja has a degree in Fashion Design from RMIT in Melbourne. Her fashion work has appeared in Vogue Australia, Australian Fashion Week, Australian Gown of the Year and the Dupont Awards. Sonja has designed costumes for Tasdance and for choreographer Natalie Weir. She has also been included in performances by Graeme Murphy. As a textile artist her work has been featured in the journals Textile Fibre Forum and Echoes, the journal of the International Feltmakers Association. Her work has been shown at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, The Academy Gallery in Launceston and the Design Centre of Tasmania. Sonja’s range of wearable art featured in the 2007 Design Island New Horizons shown at Mawson’s Pavilion and the Tasmanian Design Centre.
